Lower Haight Block Party - Sunday, October 22nd

*DATE CHANGE* - The Lower Haight Block Party has been rescheduled to next Sunday, October 22nd.

The Lower Haight is having it's first street fair this year on Sunday, October 22nd from 11am to 6pm on Haight Street between Fillmore and Pierce. I wouldn't miss the first block party in my hood. Should be great.

Due to Jenny's great suggestion I'm going to host Bloody Mary's at my place before going to block party. I'm also going to make a little something to eat. Come over at 11:00am. We'll drink and eat, then mosey over to the party.

Here's a little more info sent to me about the party:

The Lower Haight Merchants Association is hosting its first neighborhood Block Party on Sunday October 22, 2006 from 11am to 6pm on Haight Street between Filmore and Pierce and Steiner between Laussat andPage.

The Block Party will feature live music, special events for families and children, and reasonably-priced booth spaces to accommodate local and emerging artists. The event will not include alcohol booths, and food booths are available only to the existing restaurants within the confines of the event.

The Lower Haight Merchants Association is a neighborhood organization whose purpose is to develop and maintain a thriving business environment within our membership area. We seek to provide a safe, clean and supportive atmosphere where businesses can thrive, working closely with city and state government agencies, community-basedorganizations and neighborhood residents.
